INTRODUCTION
Life begins to expire the very moment it is given unto this earth when a child is delivered unto the face of this earth. Just like we have expiry dates on products and goods that we purchase on the market so does life have an expiration date but the unfortunate thing is that nobody really knows when his/her expiration date will be due. In view of this, mankind ought to be very careful in his daily activities and also ensure that he ensure hygienic practices for a healthy lifestyle.
The Health Industry has undergone several milestones of change over the years through its methods of curing people of diseases. There are several methods through which people stay healthy such as the use of modern medicine, herbs and other traditional forms of health care methods such as acupuncture.
The health industry of India has seen a tremendous growth over the years from the stage of healing by the Gods, the use of herbal medicines and now into the practice of modern medicines. Other methods have also been improved based on new technology into the practice of homeopathic clinics and other methods of natural healing.
Each of these healthcare services all contribute to keeping the people of India healthy but it is rather unfortunate that these healthcare provisions is not enough to cater for about 1.3 billion population of India. This piece of article seeks to elaborate on some of the identified challenges that the health industry of India is facing and some solutions that the MeFy Platform offers to members.
CHALLENGES FACING THE HEALTH INDUSTRY
Inadequate number of Doctors to cater for Patients
It is very unfortunate that with such a significant growth in the population of India the industry has failed to increase the number of doctors that it produces. This increases the workload of the few doctors that are available since they have to work for extra hours just to compensate with the huge number of patients that they have to attend to. This brings about burnout among doctors which would result to patients not getting the best of services that they deserve in the hospitals.
Furthermore, healthcare service is all about taking care and saving of lives but in the case whereby the number of patients far outweighs the number of doctors available it brings about poor delivery service to patient. In severe cases the conditions that some patient presents could be worsened or even result to death in the delay of service delivery. This is how ugly and disturbing the issue of inadequate doctor can get.
Insufficient Healthcare Services Delivery
One of the basic rights of every individual is to have free access to healthcare service but due to some financial constraints that the country faces it is not able to establish health care centers in some of our rural areas and villages. Members of such communities don’t have access to good healthcare services leaving them to suffer from all sorts of ailments.
In addition, our healthcare systems help to educate the locality in which it is found about good hygienic practices and also how to stay away from some diseases but because these communities have no or few of these healthcare centers they don’t have the knowledge against all these and this sometimes leads to the outbreak of certain diseases such as cholera, malaria etc.
You will bear with me that with simple personal and environmental hygiene these diseases can be prevented but because these communities do not have the services of healthcare facilities operating in their vicinities they fall prey to all these diseases.
Lack of Diagnosis Services
Diagnosing of a patient is such a delicate issue that physicians always want to know that the diagnosis that they have given to a patient is the exact one and not something just similar. This is because it is based on the diagnosis that, treatment is started for patient and so if the diagnosis is wrong then it means the medication which is going to be given is also wrong.
In order to avoid this, doctors prefer to work with other diagnostic departments of the healthcare industry to confirm their diagnosis. Examples of these diagnostic departments are the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Center, Laboratory department, Radiography Center etc. All these departments carry about further tests to confirm doctors queried diagnosis.
With the few communities and villages that have access to healthcare series within their area also lack the services of these diagnostic centers thereby making the work of doctors a bit difficult.
THE SOLUTION MeFy OFFERS TO THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

The rate at which knowledge within the healthcare industry is very overwhelming as day in day out there are new developments and a method of healthcare delivery that was right today may be wrong withing some months. These implies that healthcare professionals need to stay up to date with the latest news within the health industry.
